Nature on the line
From January to June 2021 I will be creating drawings, collages, sculptures and installations in response to the environmental destruction caused by HS2, the high speed rail link in Warwickshire. Travelling by bicycle to locations along the route, I am working on site and then back in my studio to create an elegy for the biodiversity we have lost and to celebrate the surviving, resilient species. Biomorphic sculptures made from clay, local red sandstone and silver examine the fragile beauty and toughness of nature.
More artworks will be added to the map and blog as I complete them, so please check back later to see the project develop until June 2021.
Here are some more ways you can find
out about the project:
Sculpture, vessels, public artwork.
